Silly Subway System by connie

A fully fledged subway system for minecarts. It's the silliest subway system you ever did see!

This is a package of 3 programs total, including:

ATM & Turnstiles

These two work together to make the transit card (also known as the SillyCard) system.

A player can put a floppy disk into the ATM, turning it into a transit card and allowing them to either deposit iron or check their current balance. Balances are stored with a signature, signed using a private key on the ATM.

That player can then use their card on the turnstile, taking a configurable amount (one by default) of balance away to let them through.

Destination Picker

This is the actual transportation part. You can lock this behind a turnstile, or just use it without the transit card system. Either way works!

This lets a player spawn a minecart (or use an existing one), and choose where they'd like to go. It uses redstone relays and minecart turn mechanics to achieve this, plus a human readable config for subway owners to adjust everything.

Setup

Check out the GitHub wiki (https://github.com/connorhedgehog/silly-subway-system/wiki) for a tutorial on how to set everything up. It's definitely not professional grade, but it gets the job done.

Low appeal because I couldn't get it working :/ the setup seemed to succeed but couldn't generate private keys, it crashes without a monitor, and there aren't any setup instructions. However, I do appreciate the detailed description and technical complexity! I think primarily this needs better idiot-proofing, where I'm the idiot

I might be biased towards public transport systems and such but this is really cool. A simple idea but looks well executed!
