- Install Dependencies
Windows (Python 3):
pip install flask requests
Arch Linux:
sudo pacman -S python3-flask python-requests python3
make sure you have cc tweaked, cc:c bridge, create. mods in ur mod folder.
- Setup Files Download app.py, nixify.lua, and timestamp.lua from the Google Drive. https://rb.gy/ppy1la shortend link btw. Edit both Lua files.
- Start Backend Run app.py. Replace the http://Example_backend_Link_of_your_choice/now_playing in the Lua files with:
Save both Lua files.http://127.0.0.1:5000/now_playing (local) or http://your_ngrok_url/now_playing (if using ngrok).
- Build Display Setup Place an advanced computer with a create_source block above it. Line up 20 nix tubes in front. Use a display link:
Right-click the nix tubes, then the back of the create_source. Right-click the placed display link, click ✅. Run nixify.lua on the advanced computer.
- Add Timestamp Row Place another computer a few blocks away. Add 20 nix tubes directly below the first row. Add a create_source block under the second computer. Use a display link to connect the lower nix row like before.
Click ✅. Run timestamp.lua on this second computer.
- Final Steps Visit http://127.0.0.1:5000/ in your browser to authorize Spotify. Play a song — it should show:
Top row: song + artist Bottom row: timestamp + progress bar
