Easily run submissions from any jam on PineStore. Browse and install in just a few seconds.

Keyboard:

• WASD / arrow keys to browse
• Enter / spacebar to run
• Backspace / tab / tilda to return

Disclaimers

Only works with compatible projects. PineStore projects must have an install_link and should also have a target_file configured. However, JamRunner still lets you run submissions without target file and assumes the "installer" will run the project right away.

Installed projects are not sandboxed in any way and are all installed in the root folder. There is no focus here on security as of yet. Sandboxing them would be a great improvement (and allow to rerun the same program without installing every run).

GitHub copilot was used a little bit to speed up development, but by far most code has been written by me by hand.

I'm open to suggestions as well as help / pull requests to improve JamRunner.

Anyone is free to use JamRunner source code as inspiration or start for a broader PineStore installer / front end store, just make sure to use a different name (and you should probably sandbox the projects).
